Start with clean, dry hair. Apply a heat protectant spray to prevent damage from heat styling.
Divide your hair into several sections using clips or hair ties. This makes it easier to work with smaller sections at a time.
Take one section of hair and wrap it around a curling iron or wand, holding for a few seconds before releasing.
Continue curling small sections of hair until all of your hair is curled. Remember to leave the ends out for a more relaxed, beachy vibe.
Once all of your hair is curled, gently run your fingers through the curls to break them up and create loose waves.
For added texture and hold, spray a texturizing spray or sea salt spray throughout your hair and scrunch lightly with your fingers.
If your hair tends to get frizzy, you can apply a small amount of hair oil to the ends to smooth them out and add shine.
Divide your hair down the middle into two equal sections. Starting on one side, begin a Dutch braid (inside-out braid) at the top of your head, near your hairline.
2.
Take a small section of hair from the outer edge of one section and cross it over to the other section.
Dutch braid (inside-out braid) at the top of your head, near your hairline. Continue braiding, adding small sections of hair as you go.
